I know – how cute are these watermelon earrings and choker set by sisters Kaitlyn and Skylar Dickerson from ‘Lilshopofours’ on Instagram and Facebook? Sooo cute! These bad-ass boss ladies in Orlando, Florida, make the most whimsical custom jewelry pieces you’ll ever see, and I couldn’t help but include them in my quickie post about my two new favorite watermelon recipes.
And they’re not just about watermelon, either! These gifted ladies create gorgeous jewelry. If you can think something up, chances are they have thought of it too! Check them out for their fun, frivolous, fab pieces, but first, watermelon! Yum!
Give Me, All the Watermelon, Please!
I love the long warm days of summer. OK, let me rephrase that – I love what the long summer days bring – more daylight hours, cute summer dresses, vacations, and of course, the food! Of course, nothing’s better than summer BBQs, complete with favorite summer dishes and one of my favorite fruits – watermelon!
You may recall my watermelon post last year, where I talked about the numerous health benefits of this fab fruit, along with ways watermelon can be grown and enjoyed all year long! And, of course, I shared some fave recipes.
This summer, I wanted to put a fresh spin on that post and add some more favorite watermelon recipes to your list! These recipes come from two innovative chefs/bloggers, so try them out and give them a holler! I think they will quickly become favorites with your friends and family, as they have with mine!
Watermelon Kiwi Pops
Yup – what a combo, right? Fabulous! This is a healthy, refreshing recipe by Matt Robinson, a husband (to the gorgeous and equally talented bakersroyale), father to three hungry boys, and baseball coach, and he has some fantastic recipes on his blog, ‘Real Food by Dad .’ The designated weeknight cook shares easy-to-make everyday meals, snacks, and desserts that will please every member of your fam.

Chili Lime Watermelon Salad
Who would have thought that chili and lime would go with watermelon but Jessica from ‘How Sweet Eats’ raved about the flavors. So when I tried her recipe, I got it immediately!
The 3x bestselling author creates all sorts of recipes from comfort foods and yummy desserts to cocktails and mocktails. Her love of food shines through in every recipe and her creations have been a hit on my dinner table. Check out Jessica’s two cookbooks. Fabulous!

And that’s it! Two delish recipes I discovered this year. Let me know if you make them!
Of course, there’s always my famous trifle recipe – so if you want something to go along with those watermelon treats, here you go! Have a fabulous Fourth of July weekend and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
