Winter, spring, summer, or fall, if you’re into a getaway filled with natural settings, stunning mountain and sunset views, outdoor adventures, and cozy mountain life, Sunset Beech 322 is for you! Sunset Beech 322 is a magnificent home nestled nearly at the top of Beech Mountain in the Blue Ridge Mountains, NC, and when we say paradise in Sunset Beech, we mean it.
Gary and I called this gorgeous retreat home for a week (funny story coming up), and we truly can’t say enough wonderful things about the experience. Sunset Beech 322 was everything we could have asked for AND MORE!
Here’s a rundown of all this wonderful mountain getaway location has to offer.
But First, A Funny Story

When Gary and I were invited to stay at Sunset Beech 322, we were so excited! What a perfect vacation spot. The majestic mountains, the fresh air, and all of our families (four adult kids between us and their significant others, and one grand) would all be able to fit – comfortably, too, as the house sleeps 18!
Well, if you have adult children with their own lives, then you may guess how this turned out already, lol. No one was available. Between work, social obligations, trips already planned, etc., turns out this house for 18 would be a house for two for the week.
We did have friends join us for a weekend, and they had an entire floor to themselves – not bad!
But let’s get back to this fabulous house…
Interior Amenities

This house easily accommodates up to 18 guests. No matter how your 18 guests are grouped, Sunset Beech 322 probably has a room suited for them. There are king bedrooms, queen bedrooms, full bedrooms, twin bedrooms, and even some loft and camping rooms, (It also has 5.5 bathrooms so that you can scratch that off your list of potential headaches.)
But what can you do when hanging out in this spacious mountain cabin? Sunset Beech 322 has a ping pong and pool table, darts, and books, along with a fireplace, fire pit, jacuzzi, and viewing deck. Throw in the fact that there’s live TV to enjoy, internet, a fully-equipped kitchen to use at your leisure, an outdoor grill, and an entertainment area, and well, let’s say we never wanted to leave the house, which is only ten minutes from town, by the way!
Year-Round Adventure

One of the beauties of Beech Mountain is how much it has to offer year-round! We stayed during the summer and woke up each day to an endless sea of green views from our outside deck. Miles of tree-filled mountains and hills surround the house. Truly mesmerizing. The spring and summer offer tons of hiking and white water rafting if you’re up for some adventure like we were. – OK, just the hiking! We didn’t go for the white water rafting this time. There are also summer concerts for music lovers! The warm months in Beech Mountain are buzzing with activity.
If a winter getaway is more your jam, Beech Mountain has you covered there too! The steep terrain offers excellent skiing, snowboarding, tubing, and sledding opportunities. Plus, that’s when those fireplaces, fire pits, and jacuzzies come in handy. We used the fireplace during our summer stay as well since it does get cooler at night when you are more than 5,000 feet above sea level!
