On a whim, my husband and I decided to give Casimir Bistro in Boca Raton’s Royal Palm Plaza a try for lunch. We visited on a recent sweltering (ugh) weekend – a Saturday, and felt a bit hesitant walking in, as there were only a few tables taken. (I’m assuming everyone must have still been away in their summer homes, ha!) But the vintage décor was charming and oh so French, and something definitely smelled delish, so we walked in. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and led to an intimate table.
I’ll say right off the bat. Wow! Are we glad we gave this place a try. The French Onion Soup with gruyere cheese was absolutely amazing. My smoked salmon salad was as fresh as it gets. The portion was generous, and the French Vinaigrette dressing was one of the best I’ve tasted. Gary had one of the day’s specials. It was the French Version of a Lobster Roll, and it was fantastic – full of flavor.
Casimir Bistro is a must-visit – a neighborhood gem in Boca Raton. Good luck getting a parking spot if you go for dinner, which we will. (You can always Uber it!) The food is that good, and the wine list boasts something for everyone’s palette.
